Activities and Events Friendship based around sailing is what brings this eclectic bunch together. There are lots of opportunities to sail and socialize.

Thursday Night Racing - Racing season begins with a Spring Kick-Off the first weekend in May and continues every Thursday evening through the second Thursday in September.  The strength of the wind helps to determine the evening's course.  Often 15 to 20 sailboats, of all different types and sizes, are seen maneuvering for a good start.  Races start at 6:30 p.m. Points are accumulated for the season, and trophies are awarded at the End-of-Season Party.

Sunday Fun Sails & Potlucks - Fun sails and potlucks are also planned monthly as a chance to relax and enjoy a day on the water. There is never a shortage of food, fun, or friendship.

Annual Open House - Held in mid-June, the Open House is an opportunity for members of the community to join LYSA for a day of sailing, food and music.

Overnight Sailing Trips - Sailing trips to places such as nearby lakes, San Francisco Bay, Monterey Bay, the Delta, Tomales Bay, and even Catalina Island are planned for trailer exploration.

Business Meetings - Association meetings are held monthly at the LYSA Clubhouse.  At these meetings, LYSA business is discussed and events and activities are planned and organized. All members are encouraged to attend the meetings.

End-of-Season Party and Officer Elections - Year-end party and officer elections are held in October, before the start of the holidays. Season trophies are awarded and new officers are elected.
