Bill Goldfoos recently purchased the Express 27 "Swamp Donkey". He put together a crew of other LYSA members and raced it in the Trans Tahoe Regatta and the High Sierra Regatta. It currently resides at Encinal Yacht Club where it is competing in their Friday night beer can races. Crew for the races so far have been Tim Harden, Mike Strealy, Chuck Rockholt, Dennis Wainwright, Dan McVey, and Marvin Heppner. Friday, August 5, was the first night for the boat at EYC. Bill was kind enough to host many LYSA members for cocktails and dinner after the first race. In attendance (in addition to the crew) were: Bruce and Joey Fultz (with children), Debbie Harden (with children), Jim Strealy, Dave Mosher and his wife, Lee Andersen and his wife, Erin Hadley, Jay and Dianne Sousa, and Jerry Johnson .
