These pictures are from the Crewed Farrallones Race on June 13, 2011. Keith Dettman of Fresno YC raced his Hobie 33 with crew Dave Mosher (also of FYC and LYSA), and LYSA members Tim Harden, and Mike Strealy. The race starts off the SF cityfront and heads out roughly 28 miles to the Farrollones and then back. The trip out saw winds of 30 kts+ which made for a pretty wild ride. Unfortunately the winds died down to the mid teens for most of the trip back in. Closer to the bay the breeze came back up to the mid 20's and we cruised into the bay and across the finish line doing 12-14 kts. It was definitely a great day sailing!
